Joshua Tree, CA

  • Population: Fluctuating – 3,000,000 per year
  • Founded: National Monument – 1936 National Park – 1994
  • Reason for Existence: It is a National Park, so it is quite unique and beautiful. Also what else are you going to do with a desert.
  • Reason to Come: You are in Southern California where else would you go Los Angeles, please. Explore a massive desert ecosystem with relative safety. Visiting parks providing support for their continued existence. You are in California without filling you are in California. It is just a gorgeous goddamn park.
  • Reason Not to Come: One has to visit California in order to get here. You think sun block is for wussies. You like to touch things you have idea about. Told it can get crowed with people, I went during the week no such problem. Well known enough that it even attracts mouth breathers. Not good in my book.
